When three of Simon’s classmates disappear and no one else notices, Simon thinks he’s going mad. But with his friend Ross, they find their classmates - turned to stone. Nearby they meet a girl, Melissa, who has snakes in her hair just like Medusa from Greek Mythology. Fortunately the boys’ mirrored sunglasses reflect her gaze and save them from her powers.
Melissa asks for help. She explains that she comes from the little island of Gogha - and that an evil scientist, Doctor X, had recently moved there. He has discovered that a combination of ancient magic and modern science (Scigic) can alter the DNA of people and animals - changing them into mythical creatures. Doctor X has put his serum into the island’s water supply turning everyone into mythical creatures. Now he plans to take over the world.
